Welcome to the first newsletter of many to come I hope! If there is a particular topic that you want to hear something about, please let me know so that I can provide you with the answers and content you’re seeking!

The patterns listed are only those that were published prior to December 31, 2020.

I started “officially” tech editing a short two (2) months ago, with some help ahead of time from some amazing people who gave me the confidence I needed to move forward with this amazing pivot in my life. My mind is absolutely blown with the love and support I have received, and I love that I get to participate in making your design dreams come true! I am setting my 2021 goal to be 30 pattern edits for the year! Right now there are six (6) patterns that are in the process of publishing, so I’m already 20% there, haha!

Are you a crochet designer or considering trying out the design world? WeCrochet is having a submission call for their 2021 Winter magazine! This is an amazing time to up your exposure or to try out designing. WeCrochet will provide yarn support for the pattern for you to work it up. They will stitch up the sample, take care of tech editing, and testing the product. When it’s all said and done, they will provide you with the photos for marketing!

While they will handle tech editing on their side for the final product, I am more than happy to help you with trying to work through thoughts for an idea and a pattern to present to them. You are creative beyond measure! I believe in you and that you can knock this out! This is a chance to have your pattern posted in a national yarn publication! We’re talking bucket list material here, people! What is the worst that they will say? No. Okay, well then you accomplished 2 things – you stepped out of your comfort zone to do something for your bucket list, and you also got an idea on paper that you can work through at your leisure without as much stress. Why not try it?!?

I want to send Katherine a massive CONGRATULATIONS on releasing her Brónach Wrap Cardigan! It’s the most adorable little sweater for a small person! It’s done in Moss Stitch, so it works up rather quickly. This tester group was super fun, and their feedback was ON POINT! I actually started a sweater for my great-niece after seeing all of their projects! It’s a great, quick make for adorable gift idea!

I have a few editing slots still open through the end of January.

For future planning, I have an intense medical treatment pending in the month of February that will put me out of commission for an unknown amount of time at this point. Due to this, I will be limiting the number of new edits and chat moderations that I will be taking on. I am still available up until procedure time, but I am limiting the immediate time after. If you have a longer, more flexible deadline for a pattern edit to be returned, please feel free to reach out. New chat moderations will be considered on a case by case basis until I am cleared for “full duty”.

I’m hoping to be returned to “full duty” as soon as possible. I will send out an email once I know what my “out of office” dates will be, and then once I’m fully healed.
